Hankook launches 3PMSF-rated AT tyre for vans and 4x4s

Hankook has expanded its all-terrain tyre range with the launch of the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme, designed for use across camper vans, off-road vehicles, and transporters operating in mixed road and site conditions. The tyre targets drivers needing dependable year-round performance and extended tread life, even in snow or rugged terrain.

New AT design for diverse vehicle applications

The Dynapro AT2 Xtreme sits between Hankook’s road-leaning Dynapro HPX and the off-road-specialist Dynapro MT2. It aims to offer a balance between comfort, mileage and traction across all surfaces.

Covering 15 tyre sizes from 15 to 17 inches, the range suits a wide variety of vehicle types, including classic 4x4s. It complements the wider Dynapro product family, which includes the original AT2 model available in sizes up to 20 inches.

Off-road durability with everyday comfort

To support off-road durability, Hankook has reinforced the sidewalls of the Dynapro AT2 Xtreme with deep shoulder blocks that protect against cuts and impacts. The tyre's multi-directional sipes and grooves are engineered to maintain traction across varied terrain and in snow.

The model is 3PMSF-certified (Three-Peak Mountain Snowflake), confirming its suitability for winter conditions and compliance with EU winter tyre regulations.

Compound upgrades for long-lasting performance

The updated tread compound incorporates functionalised polymers to ensure uniform silica dispersion, enhancing grip and resistance to wear. Hankook says its “Max Mileage” technology extends tyre life significantly over its predecessor.

The tread pattern includes stabilising tie-bars between the blocks and graduated edges, which reduce tread movement and noise, improving both ride comfort and safety during on-road use.
