Tyre Industry Converges on Shandong for Guangrao 2025
Now in its second day, the 2025 China (Guangrao) International Rubber Tire & Auto Accessory Exhibition is in full momentum, drawing global attention to Shandong Province. Running from 15 to 17 May, this year’s event is the largest in its history, featuring over 800 exhibitors and projected to welcome 80,000 trade visitors.
Held at the expanded Guangrao International Expo Center, the show is widely recognised as a vital platform for tyre manufacturing innovation, offering industry professionals insight into emerging trends in sustainability, EV tyre development, and digital manufacturing.
Spanning 55,000 square metres, the expo has grown significantly, with a 20% rise in expected attendance compared to previous editions. The increase highlights strong international interest, particularly in response to evolving demands for low-emission vehicles, greener materials, and smarter production systems.
Several companies are using the event to debut EV-specific products, smart manufacturing systems, and sustainable rubber technologies. Haida Group, for instance, is showcasing its HD985 and CP818 commercial vehicle tyres designed for fuel-efficient, high-speed performance.
The event also includes university-led research displays, with Qingdao University of Science and Technology and Shandong University of Technology presenting innovations in tyre materials and recycling.
The dominant themes across this year’s exhibition are automation, connected technologies, and circular economy strategies. New product zones highlight:
▪ AI-powered tyre inspection and automated production
▪ Laser engraving for digital traceability
▪ Low rolling resistance tyres engineered for electric vehicles
▪ Full-process digital control systems for energy and recycling applications
Suppliers are also demonstrating advanced rubber processing machines and EV-compatible tyre designs built to meet stringent performance, noise, and energy efficiency requirements.
Beyond the show floor, the Guangrao Expo is hosting ten parallel events, including technical forums and live product demonstrations. A dedicated tyre museum adds historical context to the sector’s development, while themed talks explore how Chinese brands are adapting to international trade challenges through product and market diversification.
