GB Tyres has announced that Fleetline Tyres will become the principal MRF dealer for the West Midlands region, marking a significant step in bringing one of the world's most powerful tyre brands to the UK market.
Representatives from GB Tyres recently met with Shaun Carr, Managing Director of Fleetline Tyres, and Joseph to formalise the partnership. The agreement sees Fleetline Tyres take on the role of main regional dealer for MRF products, supported by the full distribution and logistics network of GB Tyres.
Shaun Carr commented: "Fleetline Tyres is very proud to become the West Midlands' main MRF dealer. With the comprehensive backing of GB Tyres behind us, we feel we have a product that will genuinely benefit our customers. MRF is an incredibly popular brand in India, and we look forward to the challenge of bringing it to the UK marketplace."
MRF — the trading name of Madras Rubber Factory Ltd — is India's largest tyre manufacturer and a globally recognised brand headquartered in Chennai. Founded in 1946 by K. M. Mammen Mappillai as a small toy balloon unit, the company entered the tyre industry in the early 1950s and was formally incorporated in 1960. By 1967, MRF had become the first Indian company to export tyres to the United States.
Today, MRF is rated among the world's strongest tyre brands by Brand Finance, holding a AAA− brand grade. Its product range is broad, covering passenger cars, SUVs, two-wheelers, trucks, buses, light commercial vehicles, agricultural machinery, off-the-road (OTR) applications, and aircraft. Key tyre patterns include the ZVTS and Wanderer for cars and SUVs, the Meteor all-terrain, and Steel Muscle for truck and bus use. The company also produces conveyor belting, pre-cured retreads, and polyurethane paints.
MRF has built a strong motorsport presence, with Team MRF Tyres claiming multiple FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) team titles, including victories in 2022, 2023, and 2025. The brand is equally prominent in cricket sponsorship, with partnerships spanning ICC events and various club deals.
GB Tyres (UK) Ltd, based in Oldbury, is a major commercial tyre wholesaler supplying dealers across the UK and Europe. Founded in 2013 by Sukhi Singh, the company has grown rapidly and stocks a wide range of MRF products (including truck, agricultural, and OTR tyres) alongside other brands such as JK Tyre and Kenda. GB Tyres offers next-day delivery and carries stock across premium, mid-range, and budget segments, making it a key distribution partner for MRF's continued expansion in the UK.
