EAC Telford, one of the fastest-growing independent garage groups in the West Midlands, has announced the opening of its fourth site in Hortonwood, Telford, backed by an £85,000 investment in new equipment and technology.
The expansion, which has created seven new jobs across the business, comes shortly after the Point S UK member was named Multi-site Garage of the Year at the Automechanika Birmingham Garage Awards 2025 – an accolade particularly significant as the business was nominated by its own customers.
Located in Hortonwood, one of Telford's most rapidly developing areas surrounded by new retail developments and housing, the new branch forms part of EAC's long-term strategy to extend its service reach across the region. The £85,000 investment has funded new equipment and technology, whilst a centralised booking system and enhanced workshop capabilities underscore the business's commitment to operational efficiency and customer experience.
"We've worked hard to build trust with our customers, so to receive that recognition directly from them was a real honour," said Mark Kettle, director at EAC Telford, referring to the recent award win.
The expansion has necessitated the recruitment of seven new staff members, including experienced technicians and a new managing director. "This is more than a business expansion – it's a commitment to the area and growing sustainably whilst keeping service standards high," Kettle explained. "We're investing in people, in service, and in the future of the region."
As part of the Point S UK network, which now encompasses more than 340 independent centres nationwide, EAC benefits from industry-leading support, training and marketing resources. The Hortonwood site features updated Point S signage as part of a wider visual refresh aimed at providing customers with a unified experience across all EAC locations.
"The Point S brand has helped us sharpen our image – the network is changing the industry and has got some incredible businesses on board," Kettle noted. "Our customers are constantly talking to us about Point S, which is testament to the growth that the network has experienced in recent years. For us, what matters most is what's behind the signage: a family-run service our customers can rely on. We're proud of what we've built – and we're not done yet."
The opening signals continued growth for the independent business, which has established itself as a trusted name across Telford through its customer-focused approach and technical excellence.
