Davanti Tyres has announced the extension of its partnership with the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve (AIA) Racing School in Portimão, Portugal, signing a new three-year agreement that will run from 1st January 2026.
The renewed deal comes at a particularly exciting time for the circuit, which recently confirmed it will host Formula 1 during the 2027 and 2028 seasons, adding to its already impressive roster of motorsport events.
Under the terms of the agreement, Davanti will continue to supply its Protoura Sport tyres to AIA's fleet of Racing School vehicles, whilst gaining access to the circuit's instructors and facilities. The partnership will now also include access to the Racing School's Gold Course, which features a series of challenging driving exercises designed to improve agility and vehicle control.
The collaboration between Davanti and AIA dates back to 2017, making it one of the tyre manufacturer's longest-running partnerships. The circuit, widely regarded as one of the most technically challenging race tracks in the world, currently hosts the European Le Mans Series and the FIM World Superbike Championship, providing Davanti with valuable real-world feedback from professional drivers.
"Our drivers are highly qualified professionals and they understand the importance of tyres as a safety feature," said Miguel Praia, AIA Racing School Director. "They have developed complete confidence in Davanti since we began this partnership, as tyres that handle well and provide all the feedback and control you need to drive safely and well. We are proud to partner with Davanti Tyres."
The partnership also enables Davanti to offer its customers from around the world branded track experiences at the circuit, allowing them to experience the capabilities of the Protoura Sport tyre in a professional racing environment.
Sean Maddocks, Davanti Tyres sales director for the UK & Ireland, emphasised the value of the long-standing relationship: "The AIA is one of our longest running partnerships, and over the years it has given us invaluable live feedback on our products which has undoubtedly contributed to the quality and the capability of the Protoura Sport tyre today.
"It has also allowed us to demonstrate the tyre to our valued customers in an exciting, premium track experience which has helped strengthen relationships and cement the product as a competitive player in the market.
"With the circuit also announcing its partnership with Formula 1 in the 2027 and 2028 seasons, it shows that as a racing venue, it really is one of the most renowned in the world."
The renewal underscores Davanti's commitment to developing and testing its products in demanding professional motorsport environments, whilst strengthening its position in the performance tyre market.
