Cathal Murtagh has joined Kevin Burke Tyres (KBT) as Commercial Director for Original Equipment (OE) and Alliance Aftersales, with responsibility for developing its OE business and supporting Alliance dealers across Ireland.

Murtagh brings more than 20 years of tyre industry experience to the role, covering sales, customer relationships and business development.

His remit includes working with agricultural trailer manufacturers, developing KBT’s Alliance dealer network and identifying opportunities in agricultural tyres and aftersales support.

The appointment forms part of Alliance and KBT’s continued work to develop the brand’s Irish agricultural business. KBT became the official distributor for Alliance tyres in Ireland in October 2022 and supplies farmers and contractors through its nationwide dealer network.

Girish Kumar Patidar, Country Manager Ireland at Alliance, said the relationship combines Alliance’s product and technical expertise with KBT’s knowledge of the Irish market. He said Murtagh’s experience would support work with dealers and OE customers, alongside technical guidance and aftersales support for farmers.

Commenting on his appointment, Murtagh said: “I look forward to working with the KBT team, our OE customers and the Alliance dealer network to build on the relationships already established across Ireland.”

Alliance and KBT said their priorities include further dealer development, product and technical support, and expanding relationships with agricultural trailer manufacturers.
