Yokohama Rubber has secured a notable original-equipment contract: its fuel-efficient BluEarth 711L all-season truck tyre will be fitted to the fully redesigned Mitsubishi Fuso Super Great heavy-duty truck now on sale in Japan. The deal highlights rising OEM demand for tyres that deliver both lower operating costs and reduced emissions.
The BluEarth 711L was engineered for low rolling resistance, a key factor in long-haul fuel savings. Yokohama says the tyre also balances wear life, wet and snow grip, and reduced cabin noise—attributes that should help fleets avoid seasonal change-overs and extend replacement cycles.
Two sizes: 245/70R19.5 136/134J and 275/80R22.5 151/148J are being supplied to match the Super Great’s diverse axle configurations.
Securing the Super Great programme supports Yokohama Rubber’s “Yokohama Transformation 2026” plan, which identifies commercial tyres as a major growth engine. High-profile OE fitments allow the company to showcase its latest compound and casing technologies while elevating brand credibility ahead of replacement-market sales.
