Apollo launches Aspire 5 UHP tyre in India, eyes global luxury and EV markets.

Apollo Tyres Ltd has unveiled its Aspire 5 Ultra‑High Performance (UHP) tyre, engineered in India and now ready for global distribution. Designed for 17–20‑inch wheels with W/Y speed ratings, this tyre prioritises comfort, acoustic refinement, and EV readiness aligned with rising demand in luxury and electric crossover segments.

Market Drivers in India’s UHP Segment

The Indian UHP segment covering 17‑inch and above wheels with W/Y speed ratings is expanding rapidly, driven by a surge in luxury car and SUV purchases. These buyers increasingly expect tyres that deliver quieter, more comfortable rides, not just speed.

Engineering Built for Comfort and Control

Aspire 5 features:

  • Dynamic Contour Technology: Optimises the tyre’s shape under load to enhance ride harmony and reduce road noise.
  • Tri‑Flex Compound: Designed for strong grip and stability in high‑speed conditions.
  • Tested extensively across India, Europe, Japan, and Korea, with adaptations for Indian road conditions and EV compatibility.

Global Launch & Manufacturing Strategy

Produced at Apollo’s new Andhra Pradesh facility, Aspire 5 will be available across India through the company’s extensive branded outlet network from July 2025. It will also be introduced in Europe and select Asian markets.

OEM Collaboration & Consumer Feedback

Developed in partnership with leading vehicle manufacturers, Apollo also incorporated consumer insights to refine the tyre’s balance of handling, comfort, and noise reduction—attributes increasingly important for EVs and luxury SUVs.

Aspire 5 reflects broader shifts in the tyre industry, where EV adoption and premium vehicle growth are shifting performance criteria from speed alone to a holistic driving experience. Intelligent engineering, acoustic comfort, and EV-ready compounds are becoming key differentiators. For manufacturers in Europe or OEM-focused sectors, Aspire 5 underscores India’s evolution into a global hub for high‑end tyre innovation, blending regional R&D with international quality.
