Yokohama Rubber, Debuts OE, EV Tires, for Mitsubishi Fuso's Latest Model

Yokohama Rubber Co., Ltd. has begun supplying its RY01C tyres to Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation for use as original equipment (OE) on its new model eCanter all-electric light-duty truck, which went on sale in Japan. The first time the company has provided its truck/bus tyres as OE for an EV.

The RY01C: A Tyre Designed for EVs:

Yokohama Rubber's RY01C tyre is a standard rib tyre designed specifically for light trucks. Notably, it was developed with a primary focus on wear resistance. To cater to the unique requirements of EVs, the RY01C has been engineered to excel in areas such as low rolling resistance, superior wear resistance, and excellent wet performance. By meeting these demands, Yokohama Rubber ensures that the RY01C tyre provides the necessary environmental, safety, and handling performance required for the new eCanter.
