Toyo Tires has officially joined the European Tyre and Rubber Manufacturers' Association (ETRMA).
This move, formalised at the ETRMA Board meeting on 9 November 2023, marks a new chapter in the industry's journey towards sustainability and competitiveness.
ETRMA President Franco Annunziato, expressed his delight at the Board's decision, stating, ‘I am delighted to be able to welcome Toyo Tires into the ETRMA. Toyo’s joining is a vote of confidence in the Association’s crucial work in pursuing a supportive legislative and regulatory environment for the industry. Toyo Tires’ Membership will enhance the representativeness and expertise of ETRMA’. ETRMA Secretary General, Adam McCarthy, also welcomed Toyo’s joining noting ‘The Secretariat and I look forward to working with the colleagues from Toyo Tires as we address the policy challenges ahead of us’.
Kenta Kuribayashi, President of Toyo Tires Holding of Europe, highlighted the company's commitment to sustainability and environmental protection. ‘We are pleased that as a member of the ETRMA we can actively contribute to the implementation of standards and their processes in order to create a favorable environment that helps us as a tire manufacturer to ensure our approach to sustainability and to protect the environment and resources, but also to strengthen our competitiveness in the long term’. he said.
