GB Tyres has proudly announced its acquisition of Nordic Tyres (UK) Ltd. This merger not only signifies the union of two industry giants but also marks a pivotal moment for both companies as they set their sights on dominating the Agricultural and Forestry tyre sectors.
Founded in 1999, Nordic Tyres has its roots in Dumfries, Scotland. Over the years, it has carved a niche for itself, becoming an influential figure in the UK's Agricultural and Forestry tyre sectors. With robust partnerships with renowned brands like CEAT, Nokian, Maxxis, Duro, Kenda ATV tyres, Pronar wheels, and Nexen Tubes, Nordic Tyres has always been at the forefront of delivering quality and innovation.
Alan Lindsay, the Managing Director of Nordic Tyres, expressed his enthusiasm about the acquisition, stating, “I’m thrilled that Nordic Tyres have become part of the GB Tyres family, both businesses share the same ethos and ambitions and I have no doubt that the acquisition will be an extremely positive step for both companies.”
While Nordic Tyres will retain its independent operational status, the acquisition ensures enhanced support from GB Tyres in areas such as funding, strategic planning, sales, and marketing. The long-term vision sees a seamless integration where customers can effortlessly access products from both businesses.
“I am delighted that we have been able to accelerate our growth in the Agricultural sector through the purchase of a well-respected established business. There are fantastic opportunities for both businesses as a result of the acquisition, and I look forward to offering our loyal customers an even better product portfolio and overall level of service.”
Last year, GB Tyres broadened its horizons by venturing into the Plant, Agricultural, and OTR segments. This included gaining exclusive distribution rights for key brands across the UK and Europe and appointing specialized sales personnel in these domains. With the Nordic Tyres acquisition, GB Tyres is poised to further solidify its position in this market.
