Fredrik Emilson Appointed as New CEO of Enviro

Fredrik Emilson has been announced as the new Chief Executive Officer of Enviro, effective from February 5. This appointment comes at a pivotal time as Enviro, a frontrunner in eco-friendly initiatives, embarks on an ambitious journey to scale up its operations and assert its position as a global leader in sustainable practices.

Fredrik Emilson, a seasoned professional with a rich background in industrialisation and sustainability, brings a wealth of experience to his new role at Enviro. His impressive career spans over a decade at Höganäs AB, the world leader in metal powder solutions, where he rose through the ranks to become CEO in 2017. Under his leadership, Höganäs AB achieved remarkable sales figures, approximately MSEK 12,000, and expaded its global workforce to 2,400 employees.

Emilson's expertise is not limited to metal powders. His tenure at Trelleborg Group provided him with valuable insights into the rubber industry, further diversifying his industrial acumen. Additionally, his stint as a management consultant at E&Y, focusing on project management and business development, has equipped him with a unique perspective on driving growth and innovation in complex industrial sectors.

His appointment is timely, as Enviro, with its strategic partnership with Antin Infrastructure Partners, is poised to make significant strides in the realm of sustainable industrial practices. Emilson's extensive experience in the automotive industry and his commitment to sustainability make him an ideal fit for leading Enviro in its next phase of development.

Alf Blomqvist, Chairman of Enviro, expressed his enthusiasm for Emilson's appointment, highlighting the need for a new type of leadership to steer the company through its upcoming developmental phase. Blomqvist also took the opportunity to extend his gratitude to Thomas Sörensson, the outgoing CEO, for his invaluable contributions, including the development of Enviro's first manufacturing unit in Åsensbruk, the strategic partnership with Michelin, and the formation of the world's first large-scale tire recycling group with Antin.

As Emilson steps into his new role, Sörensson will transition to a senior advisory position within the company, ensuring a smooth handover and continuity of Enviro's strategic vision.

Emilson's appointment as CEO of Enviro is not just a change in leadership but a reaffirmation of the company's commitment to playing a pivotal role in the global climate transition. His vision for Enviro is clear: to leverage its unique position in the market and drive the company towards a world-leading status in sustainable industrial solutions.

This strategic leadership change at Enviro signals a promising future for the company and the wider industry, as it aligns with the growing global emphasis on sustainability and responsible industrial practices.
