YART Yamaha Official EWC Team Triumphs with Bridgestone BATTLAX Tyres
Bridgestone, has announced its pivotal role in the YART Yamaha Official EWC Team's victory at the 2023 FIM Endurance World Championship (EWC). This marks the fourth occasion and the third consecutive year that a team equipped with Bridgestone BATTLAX tyres has secured the prestigious EWC title.
Since 2017, Bridgestone has been a steadfast supporter of teams competing in the EWC series, providing them with their high-performance BATTLAX tyres. Known for their exceptional grip, durability, and comfort handling, these tyres have been a cornerstone in the championship runs.
This year, the YART Yamaha Official EWC Team, one of the three teams backed by Bridgestone, showcased a consistent performance throughout the season. They secured second place in the opening race and clinched the top spot in the second race. Their strong performance led them to the Bol d'Or 24-hour endurance race in France, held on September 16-17, where they finished in fourth place, ultimately winning the championship title.
Mandy Kainz, Team Manager of YART Yamaha Official EWC Team, expressed immense pride and satisfaction with the achievement. "Our riders have led in every single round this year. Despite facing challenges like crashing on oil at Le Mans and minor technical issues in Suzuka, they never gave up. Their fighting spirit, bravery, and determination make them true endurance riders. This championship means a lot to us, and we are already looking forward to defending our title next year," said Kainz.
