New Leadership for Marketing Strategy:

Gurhan Cevikel officially assumed the role of Head of Marketing for the Middle East and Africa region on May 1, 2023. In this position, he directly reports to Jacques Fourie, Vice President and Managing Director of the MEA region, while also having a dotted line reporting to Thierry Jupsin, Vice President of Brands Marketing for the Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa (EMIA) region. Gurhan's responsibility lies in defining, coordinating, and executing the marketing strategy for the MEA region, aligning with the BSEMIA Marketing Guidelines and MEA strategic priorities.

Scope of Responsibilities:

As the Head of Marketing – MEA, Gurhan assumes a comprehensive role that encompasses various facets of marketing operations. He oversees critical areas such as Brand Platforms Activation, Trade Marketing, Communication, Digital Marketing, Pricing, and Strategic Planning. By taking charge of these functions, Gurhan aims to position Bridgestone MEA as a brand of unrivaled success and redefine the boundaries of marketing in the region.

Gurhan Cevikel brings a wealth of experience to his new role, spanning over 18 years in sales, marketing, business development, consulting, and team management. With a background that encompasses various markets across the Middle East, Europe, Africa, and Asia, he possesses a deep understanding of the region's diverse business landscape. Previously, Gurhan served as the Global Marketing Director – Retail Lubricants at Shell, where he led go-to-market strategies, pricing and portfolio choices, and communication plans across multiple markets. He later assumed the role of Head of Market Intelligence & Consulting at GfK Middle East & Africa LLC, based in Dubai, UAE.
