Automechanika Birmingham Sets New Attendance Record

Automechanika Birmingham, has reported an exceptional turnout of automotive professionals at its 2023 show.

The exhibition has returned to the NEC for the first time in four years, and witnessed an impressive increase of 19 percent in visitor numbers compared to its last edition in 2019. The event not only attracted a record-breaking 14,402 visitors but also witnessed the participation of 6,750 garages, workshops, and bodyshops, showcasing the industry's thriving ecosystem. With an international presence, Automechanika Birmingham hosted 511 suppliers from 23 countries, including renowned leading brands.

A Platform for Industry Advancement:

As the automotive industry grapples with substantial legislative changes and explores new avenues for growth, Automechanika Birmingham has rose to the occasion by introducing several innovative initiatives. In addition to the impressive lineup of 190 hours of free skills training, the exhibition hosted its inaugural Automechanika Birmingham keynote conference. This conference served as a platform for industry professionals to engage in meaningful discussions and address the pressing challenges facing the sector. Topics of debate included electrification, the future of MOT, and other pertinent issues. Moreover, the event witnessed a remarkable gathering of over 100 individuals at the Women Automotive Network drinks reception, focusing on fostering diversity and attracting a more inclusive workforce. Automechanika Birmingham demonstrated its commitment to facilitating knowledge sharing, collaboration, and progress within the industry.

Furthermore, many exhibitors are set to participate in the UK Garage and Bodyshop Show in June 2024, reinforcing their commitment to Birmingham as a hub for automotive excellence.
