Yokohama Rubber has secured an original equipment fitment for its BluEarth-FE AE30 tyres on Nissan's new Roox mini-vehicle, which launched in 2025.
The Japanese tyre manufacturer announced that select grades of the Roox will be fitted with 155/65R14 75S size BluEarth-FE AE30 tyres as standard equipment from the factory.
The BluEarth-FE AE30 forms part of Yokohama's global BluEarth brand, which is built around the concept of environmental, human, and social friendliness. The tyre has been designed to deliver excellent fuel efficiency whilst maintaining a high level of balance across fundamental performance characteristics including low noise, ride comfort, and longevity.
Nissan has positioned the new Roox as a mini-vehicle that prioritises peace of mind for drivers, featuring a spacious and comfortable interior alongside advanced safety technologies. Notable features include the "Intelligent Around View Monitor," which incorporates moving object detection and 3D view functionality.
Yokohama Rubber continues to expand its portfolio of tyres utilising its advanced BluEarth technology. The company's products are now fitted as original equipment across a diverse range of new vehicle models, from the latest sedans and SUVs to sports cars and compact vehicles, encompassing petrol-powered, hybrid, and electric powertrains.
The OE fitment represents another step in Yokohama's strategy to strengthen its presence in the factory-fit tyre market, particularly within the environmentally focused segment where fuel efficiency is a key consideration for both manufacturers and consumers.
