Vipal Rubber joined Vaculug, one of Europe's most prominent tyre retreading companies, in celebrating its 75th anniversary at a prestigious event held at Westminster Palace in London. The celebration, which included a performance by the Oxford University Choir, brought together strategic partners, employees and special guests to mark the significant milestone.
The Brazilian company was represented by senior leadership including Frederico Schmidt, General Manager for Vipal in Europe; Gilson Dugno, International Business Manager; and Felipe Henzel, Commercial Director for the External Market and Motorcycles. Their presence underscored Vipal's commitment to nurturing long-term partnerships and reinforcing its global operations.
The relationship between Vipal and Vaculug spans 20 years, built on what both companies describe as mutual trust, quality and shared innovation. Vaculug currently ranks among Vipal's largest European clients by volume for rubber compounds and precured treads used in the retreading process.
Based in Grantham, Lincolnshire, Vaculug is recognised as the largest independent tyre retreader in Europe. Since its founding in 1950, the company has grown to employ over 170 staff and operates across hot retreading, cold retreading and OTR (off-the-road) segments.
