People, products, policy: the tyre stories you might have missed.

Today’s industry round-up spans corporate moves, original equipment wins, agricultural launches, and UK trade updates. Orion named a new chief financial officer, Dunlop secured fitments on Toyota’s Hilux Travo, ETEL created a sustainability sub-committee, and National Highways urged motorists to check tyre labels. In the agri space, Prometeon and BKT highlighted new products at Agritechnica, while UK trade updates included a new NTDA member and leadership news in the battery aftermarket.

A new level of visibility

Orion S.A. confirmed Jonathan “Jon” Puckett will succeed Jeff Glajch as chief financial officer from 1 December 2025. The company said the finance transition supports its specialty chemicals growth plans, following Glajch’s planned retirement.

OE fitments that matter

Sumitomo Rubber said Dunlop Grandtrek A/T31 has been selected as original equipment for Toyota’s new Hilux Travo. Sizes include 265/65R17 112S and 265/60R18 110H, a useful signal for replacement demand in key pickup markets once vehicles reach second life.

Retail and wholesale sustainability

Kwik-Fit and Stapleton’s owner European Tyre Enterprise Ltd launched a sustainability sub-committee, broadening its governance around environmental, social and governance topics. The move follows a series of partner-facing initiatives ETEL has flagged on its corporate channels.

Policy and driver behaviour

National Highways has refreshed its seasonal guidance urging drivers to check EU tyre labels when buying replacements. The message highlights stopping-distance differences and aims to convert safety awareness into retail-floor decisions during wetter months.

Agri launches in Hanover

Prometeon presented its Serie 02 Agro line at Agritechnica, including the AT02 for tractors and optional IF and VF technologies to lower soil compaction and improve traction. In parallel, BKT showcased products such as Agrimax Proharvest VF in a new 1020/55 R38 CFO size, plus a stand concept designed to engage European farm operators. Off-highway tyre development

Albourgh Tyres announced the Core series of solid tyres for loaders, handlers and skid steers, targeting recycling, waste and heavy industry operations. Four tread variants and puncture-proof construction aim to minimise downtime in demanding sites.

People and trade updates

In the UK aftermarket, Gloucester Tyres joined the National Tyre Distributors Association, reflecting ongoing consolidation of trade engagement at regional level. Separately, Ecobat Battery confirmed the return of Martin McGreevy as Head of National Accounts ahead of a corporate identity refresh.
