Point S UK Restructures Leadership to Support Member Growth and Strategic Goals
Point S Tyre & Autocare, the UK’s largest independent tyre dealer and car maintenance network, has announced a significant reshuffle of its leadership team. The restructure, aimed at accelerating business growth and reinforcing member support, includes the appointment of Ali Yilmaz as the company’s new UK Managing Director.
Ali Yilmaz joins Point S with extensive experience across the automotive and tyre sectors, including a senior leadership background at Pirelli and Prometeon Tyre Group. Most recently serving as Head of Fleet Development – Europe and MEA, Yilmaz also led Prometeon’s UK operations. His appointment reflects Point S’s focus on expanding its national reach while delivering tailored services to its member network.
As Managing Director, Yilmaz is expected to enhance the network’s fleet service offering and increase engagement with independent members. His leadership will focus on using Point S’s global resources to deliver local growth opportunities across the UK.
The leadership changes extend beyond the MD role. Wayne Daniel, formerly UK Network Operations Manager, has been promoted to the Point S UK Board of Directors. Daniel, a long-serving executive, played a key role in growing the network to over 340 points of sale and will now support long-term strategic projects.
Andy Tester has moved into the position of Business Development Manager, while Ben Herridge steps into Tester’s former role as Regional Sales Manager for the South.
These changes reflect Point S’s focus on strengthening its commercial leadership and maintaining its position as the go-to independent network for automotive repair and tyre services.
Independent networks are increasingly investing in experienced leadership and fleet expertise to remain competitive. As digitalisation, electrification, and fleet management evolve, strategic appointments like Yilmaz’s signal the importance of combining global insights with local service capabilities. With more fleets requiring specialist tyre support and integrated service solutions, networks like Point S are positioning themselves to lead in both consumer and commercial segments.
