Mitas launches Agriterra ULTRA tyre range for agricultural trailers and tankers

Mitas has announced the launch of its new Agriterra ULTRA tyre range, developed for agricultural trailers, tankers, and spreaders. The manufacturer claims the tyres deliver enhanced durability, stability, and efficiency both in the field and on the road.

The Agriterra ULTRA range is designed to meet the demands of a variety of agricultural applications, including trailers, loading and transport vehicles, spreaders, and slurry tankers.

According to Mitas, the tyres feature a reinforced construction that reduces stress and heat build-up. The structure is said to deliver greater strength, improved durability, and better stability, particularly in heavy-duty operations.

Mitas states that the tyres have undergone rigorous testing under tough operating conditions. The company says this testing demonstrates the Agriterra ULTRA’s ability to outperform comparable products on the market.

Roberta D’Agnano, Global Brand Director Mitas at Yokohama TWS, commented:
“Agriterra ULTRA represents a significant milestone in our commitment to providing high-performing solutions for the agricultural sector. Its redesigned ULTRA construction and advanced compounds ensure exceptional durability and reliability, making Agriterra ULTRA the ultimate trailer tire solution on the market.”

The tyre will be rolled out in key sizes throughout the year, starting with size 560/60R22.5TL IMP 165D.

Mitas also plans to introduce a specialised version of the tyre, featuring VF (Very High Flexion) technology. Marketed as the Agriterra ULTRA Soil Protector, this variant is designed to increase load capacity by up to 40% while allowing lower inflation pressures. According to Mitas, the VF version reduces soil compaction, enhances ground protection, and improves crop yields.

The Agriterra ULTRA Soil Protector also incorporates a rounded shoulder design to reduce turf damage and maintain performance in wet or soft conditions.

This latest product release strengthens Mitas’ agricultural portfolio, focusing on practical benefits for farming professionals seeking reliable and durable trailer tyre solutions.
