Dunlop has been named an official partner of the 2025 Honda Adventure Roads tour, supplying its Trailmax Raid tyres for the cross-border motorcycle journey. The tyre choice reflects Dunlop’s focus on dual-performance designs, catering to riders who demand reliable grip both on- and off-road.
Kicking off in Rome on 8 June 2025, the nine-day adventure will see 30 Honda Africa Twin riders traverse eight countries, ending in Istanbul, Turkey. The route includes a mix of winding tarmac, rugged trails and forest tracks, placing varied demands on both rider skill and tyre performance.
The Trailmax Raid has been selected as the exclusive tyre for the group, which includes customers, journalists and two Honda Racing Corporation (HRC) riders. As a 50/50 on/off-road tyre, the Trailmax Raid is engineered for versatility—capable of handling unpredictable terrain while maintaining road stability in wet and dry conditions.
First introduced in 2023, the Trailmax Raid sits alongside the Trailmax Meridian in Dunlop’s adventure portfolio. While the Meridian is targeted at riders who spend more time on-road with occasional off-road use, the Raid is intended for more demanding mixed-surface touring. It complements Dunlop’s broader adventure and off-road range, which includes models like the Mutant, Trailmax Mission, and D908RR.
Dunlop’s Marketing Manager, Roberto Finetti, said the partnership is a strong endorsement of the Trailmax Raid’s performance: “Honda Adventure Roads will be a true test of both rider and machine, but Trailmax Raid is more than up to the challenge.”

Nick Bennett, Brand Marketing Section Manager at Honda Motor Europe, highlighted the synergy between the CRF1100L Africa Twin and the Trailmax Raid tyre: “Pairing it with the 50/50 Dunlop Trailmax Raid tyre will only enhance the entire trip experience, offering the versatility needed for a variety of terrain and riders of differing skill levels.”
Honda Adventure Roads has become a flagship series for riders looking to push their limits in controlled yet challenging environments. The 2025 edition further strengthens the collaboration between motorcycle and tyre brands delivering high-performance results across Europe and Asia.
This partnership illustrates a broader trend in the adventure motorcycle segment: growing demand for tyres that balance off-road durability with road-going performance. As riders seek out transcontinental experiences and multi-surface capability, products like the Trailmax Raid reflect an industry shift towards more versatile, application-specific tyre development, particularly relevant for dual-sport and ADV touring sectors.
