Direct Tyre Management (DTM) has announced a strategic partnership with epyx, integrating the 1link Service Network platform across all its UK operations. The collaboration marks a significant step in DTM's expansion plans, connecting the tyre management specialist to one of the fleet sector's most extensive service networks.
The partnership provides DTM with access to a broader base of fleet customers whilst enhancing its technology-led, B2B-focused tyre management offering. According to Jason Chamberlain, DTM's Chief Revenue Officer, the integration will enable the company to reach new customers whilst strengthening service provision for existing clients.
"This partnership allows us to broaden our support for UK-wide fleets by minimising downtime and keeping vehicles operational," Chamberlain explained.
The epyx 1link Service Network is widely recognised as the industry standard for fleet service, maintenance, and repair (SMR) management. Recent platform updates have introduced comprehensive tyre management processes, enabling more streamlined tyre purchasing, fitting, and authorisation through a cloud-based, event-driven architecture.
The enhanced system is designed to deliver stability, scalability, and an intuitive user interface, benefitting both fleet operators and management service providers alike.
DTM specialises in proactive tyre management, combining preventative maintenance with 24/7 roadside support and a customer portal that offers real-time fleet oversight and reporting. The company's service portfolio includes regular audits, tyre husbandry, and driver training—all aimed at extending tyre life, improving vehicle safety, and supporting net zero objectives through reduced tyre waste and maximised reuse and recycling.
The integration with 1link Service Network adds transparent, pre-agreed pricing and an expanded network of service locations to DTM's existing offerings.
The partnership delivers several key advantages for fleet operators, including simplified, centralised booking, authorisation, and payment for tyre services. Fleet managers will also benefit from real-time spend and maintenance data, enabling more informed decision-making.
Additionally, the combination of DTM and 1link's national networks provides broader service coverage and faster breakdown response times across the UK.
The collaboration is expected to further reduce fleet downtime, improve operational efficiency, and help operators control costs whilst meeting sustainability targets.
