German tyre and wheel wholesale giant Bohnenkamp SE has announced the acquisition of French company SAS Copadex, with the deal set to complete by the end of 2025.
Gregor Rüth, CEO of Bohnenkamp SE, confirmed the acquisition, which will see former Copadex owner Bruno Clairay transition into the role of Managing Director for the business under its new ownership. The acquisition contract was signed by both Rüth and Clairay.
The move represents a strategic expansion for Bohnenkamp SE, strengthening its foothold in the European tyre and wheel wholesale sector by adding Copadex's established French operations to its portfolio. The acquisition aligns with Bohnenkamp's ongoing growth strategy of targeted acquisitions across key European markets.
By retaining Clairay as Managing Director, the deal ensures operational continuity and leverages his extensive knowledge of the French market and existing customer relationships. This leadership arrangement is expected to facilitate a smooth integration of Copadex into the Bohnenkamp SE group.
The completion of this agreement marks another significant milestone in Bohnenkamp SE's ambition to reinforce its position as a leading player in European tyre and wheel wholesaling. The company has consistently pursued growth through strategic acquisitions, and the addition of Copadex's French market presence is expected to enhance its competitive position across the continent.
Further details regarding the financial terms of the acquisition and the specific operational changes have not been disclosed at this time.
