Ben invites sector to join Christmas Jumper Day and support hardship fund.

Ben, the automotive industry charity, is inviting businesses and teams across the sector to take part in Ben Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 12 December 2025, or any day that month. Participants sign up, wear festive jumpers and donate £3 per person. The charity is also selling new motor-themed Christmas cards, including a fresh 2025 design by artist Richard Wheatland, with proceeds supporting colleagues in hardship.

What’s Happening

Ben Christmas Jumper Day is designed for simple workplace participation: sign up, wear a Christmas jumper and collect a £3 donation per person. Teams can schedule the activity on Friday 12 December 2025 or any date in December, making it easy for depots, workshops and office functions to join in.

Cards and E-Cards Boost Fundraising

Alongside Ben Christmas Jumper Day, the charity’s annual Christmas cards return with automotive designs, including a new 2025 artwork by Richard Wheatland. Ben’s online shop also offers e-cards plus seasonal items such as wrapping paper and tags to widen fundraising options.

“We can’t wait to start the festivities and we hope our whole automotive family will get involved! Why not turn your office into a festive spectacle for the day; run a competition for the tackiest jumper or ‘most creative knit selfie’; or raffle a Ben bear to raise vital funds. Christmas Jumper Day is such an easy one to get involved in and it helps everyone to get into the festive spirit.” — Matt Wigginton, Director of Growth & Development, Ben.

Why It Matters

With cost-of-living pressures continuing, funds raised through Ben Christmas Jumper Day and Ben Christmas cards help people facing financial and wellbeing crises. Ben urges anyone working in the automotive industry who is at breaking point to use its free, confidential helpline on 08081 311 333 or webchat via ben.org.uk.

“Also, by sending Ben Christmas cards, you’re raising awareness about Ben, as well as raising funds. Fundraising has never been more important for us – it’s still really tough out there and thousands of people in our automotive family urgently need us. Together, we can make a life-changing, often life-saving, difference to the lives of our automotive family so please get involved today.” — Matt Wigginton.
