Apollo Tyres has appointed Vintage Tyres as its official UK distributor for the Vredestein classic car tyre range. The move formalises a long-standing partnership and aims to strengthen trade and retail access to heritage-focused products across the country.
The agreement builds on a two-decade relationship between the two companies. Vintage Tyres, based at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu, is a recognised supplier of period-correct tyres and will now supply the full Vredestein classic portfolio to UK trade customers and individual enthusiasts.
Vintage Tyres will manage stock and logistics to ensure national availability and prompt delivery to retailers, fitters and restoration workshops.
The Vredestein classic car line includes several tyre ranges tailored to different eras and driving needs:
◼ Sprint Classic – suitable for vehicles from the 1950s to early 1980s
◼ Sprint+ – modern performance with classic aesthetics
◼ Grip+ – off-road capable, aimed at vintage 4x4s
◼ Transport Classic – designed for older commercial vehicles
◼ Snow Classic – winter-ready with wet and icy grip
◼ Quatrac Classic – new all-season option combining retro style with modern safety
The portfolio’s appeal lies in its blend of authentic appearance with contemporary performance standards, supporting owners who value originality without compromising safety or road compliance.
Apollo Tyres sees the agreement as a key move to improve visibility and uptake of Vredestein’s heritage range in a growing market for classic motoring.
“Having Vintage Tyres on board allows us to improve awareness and access to the expanding Vredestein classic portfolio,”
Shobhit Arora, Country Sales Manager UK at Apollo Tyres Ltd.
Classic vehicles remain a key part of automotive culture in the UK, with increasing demand for authentic components that meet modern road standards. Vredestein’s commitment to developing tyres that retain period styling while upgrading performance aligns with broader trends in the sector — where historical integrity meets daily usability. The new partnership also reflects a wider shift towards specialised distribution to serve niche vehicle communities more effectively.
