LKQ Corporation Announces Major Leadership Changes, Poised for Future Growth

LKQ Corporation, a global leader in alternative and specialty automotive parts, has announced significant leadership changes set to take effect from January 1, 2024. These appointments come as part of a strategic plan to strengthen its operational leadership and drive future growth.

New Leadership Appointments

John Meyne has been appointed as Senior Vice President of LKQ and President of its Wholesale – North America segment. Meyne, an LKQ team member since 2009, has a long-standing history in the industry, beginning his career in 1987 with Keystone Automotive Industries. Prior to this promotion, he served as the East Division Vice President of LKQ’s Wholesale – North America segment. Justin Jude, LKQ’s current Senior Vice President, lauded Meyne for his pivotal role in the segment's growth and profitability, highlighting his embodiment of the LKQ culture.

In a parallel move, Andy Hamilton, the current CEO of LKQ’s Euro Car Parts in the UK and Republic of Ireland, will step into the role of Senior Vice President of LKQ and President and Managing Director of LKQ Europe. Hamilton’s journey with LKQ Euro Car Parts began in 2010, with his leadership roles spanning Chief Operating Officer and, more recently, Chief Commercial Officer of LKQ Europe. Dominick Zarcone, LKQ’s current President and CEO, praised Hamilton’s extensive experience and success in leading their largest and most profitable European operation.

Transition of Roles

The announcements also include the transition of Justin Jude to the role of Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer, setting the stage for him to succeed Dominick Zarcone as President and CEO on July 1, 2024. Varun Laroyia, the outgoing Executive Vice President of LKQ and CEO and Managing Director of LKQ Europe, will step down on December 31, 2023. Laroyia has committed to assist in the transition as a special advisor to Andy Hamilton throughout 2024.
