KWIK FIT AND BTCC THRILLED WITH SUCCESS AT GOODWOOD FESTIVAL OF SPEED

The Kwik Fit British Touring Car Championship remained active during the summer break, with an exciting presence at the Goodwood Festival of Speed.

On Sunday, 16 July, the Goodwood Festival of Speed concluded with Kwik Fit as the title sponsor, featuring the stars and cars of the 2023 British Touring Car Championship.

While unfavourable weather conditions led to the festival's closure on Saturday, 15 July, the Kwik Fit Stand attracted numerous fans throughout the event. From trying their skills on racing simulators, provided in partnership with Motorsport Games, to watching the 2023 BTCC grid in action, attendees had plenty of options to engage with.

Across the three days, over 750 simulator sessions took place, with fans competing for the fastest lap in various BTCC racing scenarios for a chance to win a pair of tickets to the BTCC finale at Brands Hatch in October.

Moreover, the Kwik Fit Stand organised hourly activations from 1000 to 1700 daily, featuring BTCC stars like Ash Sutton, Tom Ingram, and Rory Butcher. Attendees had the opportunity to participate in Q&A sessions, autograph and selfie sessions, as well as thrilling sim battles and exciting giveaways.

Additionally, BTCC teams, NAPA Racing UK and TOYOTA GAZOO Racing UK, took part in the legendary Hill Climb event. Among those involved were Sam Osborne, Dan Cammish, Dan Rowbottom, Ash Sutton, and Rory Butcher. Sutton and Butcher faced off in the Official Shootout Final on Sunday, with Butcher emerging victorious in his Toyota Corolla, setting an impressive time of 51.64s.

During the festival, Kwik Fit also emphasised its support for Project TREE, a program aimed at protecting Indonesian rainforest areas through the sustainable production of natural rubber for use in tire manufacturing.
