As the world of agriculture continues to evolve, so does the technology that supports it. This was evident at the Lamport AgX open day, where the spotlight was firmly on Galileo's state-of-the-art AgriCup tyres.

From 3-5 July, Lamport AgX, a hub known for its in-depth exploration of soil health, became the stage for a technological marvel. Galileo, joined forces with agronomy giants Agrovista, to unveiled its pioneering CupWheel technology and showcase the capabilities of the Galileo AgriCup tyres.

The highlight of the event was a live demonstration featuring a high-horsepower tractor fitted out with the AgriCup tyres. Its mission was to showcase the tyre's abilities with a drill attachment affixed to its rear. As the drill delved 12 inches into the soil and dragged over 100 meters, the outcome was astounding. The AgriCup tyres exhibited zero slippage. This performance not only promises significant fuel savings but also ensures the soil remains undisturbed, reducing compaction.

The research presented further solidified the AgriCup's abilities:

  • Untrodden fields promise a 100% yield.
  • At 0.5 bar, the AgriCup tyres deliver a 94% yield.
  • Standard VF/IF tyres at 0.7 bar yield 70%.
  • At a pressure of 1 bar, the yield stands at 40%.

What sets the Galileo AgriCup tyres apart is their design, optimised to function at 0.5 bar during fieldwork. This ensures not only high yields but also unparalleled efficiency.

Galileo's commitment to revolutionising agricultural tyre technology is evident. Their focus isn't just on innovation but also on championing sustainable farming practices. The AgriCup tyres are a testament to this dedication, offering farmers a future of enhanced efficiency, diminished fuel costs, and minimal soil impact, all while maximising yield.
