ZF Aftermarket UK enjoyed a highly successful presence at the UK Garage and Bodyshop Event (UKGBE) held on 5th and 6th June at the NEC in Birmingham. The event attracted numerous visitors eager to learn more about ZF's innovative training programmes and offerings.
A major highlight of ZF’s showcase was the new Nissan Leaf training vehicle, which plays a crucial role in delivering IMI Level qualifications for hybrid and electric vehicle (EV) repair, as well as Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) calibration and diagnosis. This initiative underscores ZF's commitment to equipping technicians with the necessary skills to service the growing number of electric vehicles on UK roads.
Darren Lloyd, Technical and Training Manager at ZF Aftermarket UK, remarked: “We’re excited to have showcased our Nissan Leaf training vehicle, emphasising our commitment to providing essential industry qualifications. With over one million electric vehicles now registered on UK roads, it's imperative that technicians are equipped with the skills to service these vehicles effectively.”
At the event, over 50 workshops seized the opportunity to register for ZF [pro]Tech start for free. This initiative is designed to enhance the skills of technicians and provide workshops with the resources they need to excel in today’s rapidly evolving automotive landscape.
ZF [pro]Tech start offers workshops exclusive benefits, including access to vehicle-specific installation instructions for over 15,000 models, up-to-date knowledge direct from the manufacturer, and technical tips and service hotline support.
Lloyd added: “It was fantastic to meet so many forward-thinking garages and technicians. Ongoing training is crucial for technicians to stay updated with the latest developments, effectively diagnose and repair modern vehicles, and continue offering high-quality service.
“The show was the perfect platform to connect with technicians looking to enhance their offerings and invest in their professional development. It's important that we continue to offer training to ensure safety standards aren’t compromised and that technicians comply with the latest regulations.”
ZF’s newly revamped training centre in Nottingham further demonstrates the company’s commitment to providing top-tier training facilities.
