New regulations concerning Tyre Pressure Monitoring Systems (TPMS) are set to be implemented across Europe from the 7th of July. This legislation mandates that all new commercial vehicles, including those with trailers, must be fitted with a TPMS that actively monitors and displays tyre pressure changes exceeding 20% in real time. This measure aims to alert drivers to potential tyre issues before they pose a safety risk or cause damage.
Goodyear, a long-standing provider of TPMS solutions, has expressed support for the legislation, highlighting its potential to significantly boost vehicle safety and operational efficiency. The company notes that its TPMS technology has already enabled transportation firms throughout Europe to reduce tyre-related incidents by as much as 90%.
