Giti Tire is set to showcase its dual electric vehicle (EV) approach and sustainability initiatives at The Tire Cologne 2024, alongside unveiling new tyres for passenger cars, light trucks, and heavy trucks.
On the first day of the event, Giti will reveal its electrification strategy for passenger cars and light trucks with its AdvanzTech EV-ready products. Additionally, the stand will feature the GT Radial dual EV strategy, introduced in June 2023. This strategy addresses the specific needs of both EV and internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, with a comprehensive range of high-performance GT Radial SportActive 2 and FE2 tyres.
Giti Tire's commitment to sustainability will also be a focal point. The company aims to achieve a 30% reduction in Scope 1 and Scope 2 emissions by 2030 and reach Net Zero by 2050 through operational optimisation, technology adoption, and nature-based solutions. In recognition of its efforts, Giti received a Gold rating from Ecovadis in February 2024, placing it in the top 5% of global businesses for sustainability and ESG compliance.
The company will further highlight its compliance with EU Deforestation legislation and the steps it has taken to meet these stringent requirements.
Visitors to Hall 7.1, Stand C030 D039, will also witness several world premieres of new passenger car and light truck tyres from both the Giti and GT Radial brands, as well as the latest Giti truck and bus products.
The Tire Cologne 2024 marks the first full-scale European show since Giti Tire Motorsport announced its partnership with Sparco®, a leading manufacturer of motorsport safety systems and racing equipment. This collaboration has led to the introduction of the ultra-high-performance GitiSportS2 tyre, now available in Europe in 22 new sizes and eight existing sizes, all featuring the sidewall inscription “Giti – Powered by Sparco®”.
