Darren Lindsey Appointed as Chief Executive of the British Tyre Manufacturers Association

Darren Lindsey MBA and BEng (Hons), has been appointed the new Chief Executive of the British Tyre Manufacturers Association (BTMA). His arrival is expected to introduce new insights into the association, aimed at enhancing the industry's approach to innovation and sustainability.

Bringing more than 27 years of industry experience, Lindsey is well-positioned to drive the BTMA's initiatives in promoting sustainable practices and impactful innovations that emphasise the tyre industry's essential role in the economy and environmental stewardship.

In his new capacity, Lindsey is set to collaborate extensively with various partners, including the National Tyre Distributors Association (NTDA), Tyre Recovery Association (TRA), and other key entities such as TyreSafe Admin, ITMA, CJAM, TIP, and the European Tyre & Rubber Manufacturers' Association (ETRMA). His goal is to foster cooperative relationships and guide the BTMA in its ongoing mission to advocate for responsible tyre manufacturing and uphold standards of excellence across the industry.

Additionally, Lindsey recognises the contributions of Graham Willson, the outgoing CEO, whose leadership over the past 15 years has positioned the BTMA well for future advancements.

With this change in leadership, the BTMA looks forward to a period of growth and increased relevance in environmental and economic arenas, as the industry adapts to evolving challenges and opportunities under Lindsey's guidance.
