Embarking on an Unforgettable Journey:

From the 4th to the 13th of October 2024, Transaid invites riders from across the transport and logistics industry to join them on a unique cycling expedition. Departing from Nyeri at the foothills of Mount Kenya and culminating at the stunning Lake Victoria, participants will traverse Kenya's lush, mountainous countryside, bask in expansive panoramas, and encounter the country's renowned wildlife. A game conservation area and acres of bushland offer the possibility of glimpsing giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and other majestic creatures, further enriching the experience.

A Challenge of Endurance and Beauty:

Over the course of the journey, riders will cover an average of 79km (49 miles) each day, including two consecutive days featuring challenging ascents to viewpoints situated 2,550m above sea level. While the physical demands may be arduous, the rewards are immeasurable. The riders will be treated to breathtaking landscapes across the Great Rift Valley, an unparalleled display of nature's grandeur. This adventure will be etched in their memories forever, forging connections and camaraderie within the tyre industry.

Supporting Transaid's Life-saving Mission:

The 2024 Cycle Kenya Challenge aligns seamlessly with Transaid's core focus of transforming lives through safe, available, and sustainable transport. The funds raised from this remarkable event will contribute to Transaid's ongoing life-saving projects in eight countries across sub-Saharan Africa. By participating in this adventure, industry professionals and end users have an exceptional opportunity to make a significant impact on road safety and access to essential healthcare services.

Florence Bearman, Head of Fundraising at Transaid, expresses her enthusiasm, stating, "After relocating our cycle challenge to Europe last year, we are thrilled to be returning to Africa, and what better destination than Kenya? This ride not only offers a once-in-a-lifetime chance to experience the country off the beaten track but also the satisfaction of knowing you are raising crucial funds for vital road safety and improved healthcare access."
