The Extraordinary Journey:

Last year, Louise and Rachel undertook a remarkable feat by participating in the celebrated car rally challenge, Bangers4Ben. They purchased the Rover 216 Honda cabriolet, pouring their passion and dedication into its restoration. The journey that followed was nothing short of extraordinary—over 1,500 miles of adventure, taking them from the beautiful coastlines of southern France to the majestic Alps, and finally arriving in glamorous Monaco. The resilient Rover conquered the diverse terrains, leaving behind an indelible mark on the memories of its fearless drivers.

A Charitable Purpose:

After its unforgettable European odyssey, the well-traveled Rover has returned to its roots in the Midlands, ready to be auctioned for the noble cause of fundraising for Ben.org. Automechanika Birmingham provides the perfect platform for car enthusiasts to partake in this unique opportunity. Visitors are encouraged to visit the Ben stand at Automechanika, stand F114, on 7th June, where the auction will take place. This is your chance to secure the car that embodies the spirit of resilience and generosity.

Beyond the Auction:

For those unable to attend Automechanika, there is still an opportunity to show support for Ben.org. Donations can be made via the following link: https://giving.ben.org.uk/pf/lou-rach-1eb19. Every contribution, no matter the size, will play a crucial role in helping individuals within the automotive industry who may be facing challenges related to their mental, financial, or physical well-being.

Louise Baker, Company Director of Womanic Ltd, expressed, "Not many people know, but the automotive profession can be quite stressful. Ben is a pillar of support for anyone in the industry, offering assistance for those struggling with various aspects of their lives. So, join us at the Ben stand during Automechanika and seize the opportunity to take this extraordinary car home!"

Ellen Plumer, Head of Marketing & Outreach at Ben, conveyed her heartfelt gratitude to Louise and Rachel, recognising their exceptional efforts in fundraising for Ben with this brilliant classic car. Plumer added, "We eagerly anticipate the presence of our automotive family at our Automechanika stand, and we cannot wait to see who will be the fortunate owner of this remarkable automobile!"
