Firestone Industrial Products Company, LLC (FSIP), a subsidiary of Bridgestone Americas, Inc., has announced that it will be rebranding as Firestone Airide. The new identity is intended to capture the full scope of the company's business channels, including automotive, heavy duty commercial, and off-highway products.

Firestone Airide was the first company to patent an air spring product, back in 1938, and has remained a leader in the field for over 80 years. Today, it is one of the largest suppliers of air springs in the truck/trailer, bus, and automotive sectors, as well as a major supplier to the electric vehicle industry.

In addition to its diverse portfolio of original equipment products, Firestone Airide also has a strong presence in the aftermarket with its Airide Assist (formerly known as Ride-Rite air helper springs). The company is also expanding its reach with studies in the medical and scientific fields.

Firestone Airide has manufacturing facilities in the United States, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, and Poland, as well as R&D operations in the United States and the Netherlands. The company's new brand identity is intended to reflect its commitment to sustainability, and aligns with Bridgestone's E8 Commitment to "Energy," "Efficiency," "Extension," "Ecology," and "Ease."

"We are excited to launch our rebrand, not only as a fitting evolution of our company, but as a testament to the legacy and value of the Airide name,"
Justin Monaghan, President of Firestone Airide.
