Bridgestone, has unveiled its latest innovation in the agricultural tyre segment - the premium VX-R TRACTOR tyre range. Designed to provide farmers with exceptional performance, longevity, and driver comfort, the VX-R TRACTOR tyres offer a wide-tread traction that revolutionises the farming experience.

With a relentless focus on optimising the contact area between the tyre and soil, Bridgestone has developed the VX-R TRACTOR range to deliver unmatched durability and reliability. The wide tread width of these tyres sets them apart from their counterparts, offering three key benefits that meet and exceed farmers' expectations.

Firstly, the wide traction feature ensures that all VX-R TRACTOR tyres possess a tread width equal to or greater than the nominal tyre width. This wider contact area enhances the effectiveness of Bridgestone's involute lug design, maximising traction on various terrains. Farmers can confidently navigate their fields, even in challenging conditions, with the VX-R TRACTOR tyres.

Secondly, the tread-width-to-nominal-tyre-width ratio significantly extends the wear life of the tyres. By precisely matching the tread-width to the nominal width, Bridgestone enhances the performance of its outstanding wear-resistant compound. The VX-R TRACTOR range benefits from the same high-performance tread compound used in the renowned VT-TRACTOR and VX-TRACTOR series, providing farmers with exceptional longevity and reducing the need for frequent replacements.

Lastly, the wide tread design of the VX-R TRACTOR tyres offers excellent driver comfort. With a larger footprint on the road, farmers can enjoy a smoother and more comfortable ride, reducing fatigue during long working hours.

Bridgestone has also focused on improving tractor and tyre efficiency through a carefully matched Rolling Circumference for each FRONT/REAR tyre combination. This optimization ensures an exact front axle lead, where the front tyres travel slightly faster than the rear tyres. As a result, fuel efficiency, tyre life, and traction are significantly improved, enhancing tractor road handling and drivetrain performance.

Underlining its commitment to sustainable farming practices, Bridgestone has incorporated its innovative ENLITEN Technology into the VX-R TRACTOR range. This breakthrough technology supports sustainable farming without compromising tyre performance. As part of the Bridgestone E8 Commitment and the company's long-term environmental vision, the VX-R TRACTOR tyres are designed to contribute to a more sustainable future.

The Bridgestone VX-R TRACTOR range is developed and manufactured in Europe, ensuring the highest quality standards. These tyres are compatible with any tractor and can be combined with any brand, providing versatility for farmers across Europe. Initially available in 23 sizes throughout 2023, Bridgestone plans to introduce an additional 23 sizes in 2024, ranging from 24 to 38-inch rims in the 65, 70, and 85 series.

“At Bridgestone, we believe that agriculture is our world lifeblood. That’s why we are constantly pushing the boundaries of agricultural tyre performance to provide the best solutions for farmers. With the launch of the Bridgestone VX-R TRACTOR, we’re responding to farmers’ needs for more sustainable tyres which reduce soil compaction. This range allows us to reach a new dimension for long-lasting agricultural tyre performance, while also contributing to a move towards more sustainable farming.”
Waqqas Ahmad, Director of Commercial Replacement and OE at Bridgestone EMIA.

In addition to the VX-R TRACTOR range, Bridgestone has introduced a groundbreaking smartphone application called AGRO-TYRE-PRESSURE. This app builds upon the functionality of the existing Bridgestone and Firestone agricultural tyre apps, initially introduced in 2017. AGRO-TYRE-PRESSURE offers farmers a convenient solution for determining the correct inflation pressure for their agricultural tyres, regardless of the brand.

Developed in collaboration with other tyre manufacturers, this comprehensive application eliminates the need for farmers to consult multiple apps to find the correct use information for each farm tractor and wheeled implement. AGRO-TYRE-PRESSURE ensures that farmers can easily access the appropriate inflation pressure for every machine on their farm within a single user-friendly interface. By using the correct tyre pressure, farmers can maximise the service life, traction, and fuel efficiency of their tyres, while also minimising soil compaction.
