The recent expansion is part of Continental's broader strategy to enhance its operations in Romania. In 2022, the company invested approximately €40 million to expand the production area of its Timisoara plant by over 7,000 square metres, bringing the total production area to 18,000 square metres. This investment was focused on producing innovative user experience solutions such as displays for vehicles.
The new building at VGP Park Timisoara features state-of-the-art facilities, including advanced LED lighting, smart metering for efficient energy management, and an air heat pump system. With 32,768 square metres of total leasable area, the building has 8,209 square metres still available for potential tenants.
VGP Park Timisoara is already home to seven completed buildings, catering to clients across various sectors, including transportation, logistics, courier services, automotive manufacturing, and electronics. This new addition further enhances the park's appeal as a premier destination for industrial and logistics operations in the region.
The additional warehouse space for tyre storage underscores Continental's commitment to strengthening its production and logistics infrastructure in Romania, particularly in the Timisoara region. This move is expected to support the company's ongoing growth and development, ensuring it can meet the increasing demand for its products and services.
